Trust & Safety

Built for careful
early access.

UbuntuCare is currently concierge-led. Families and carers submit profiles first, then our team reviews verification, suitability, and launch readiness before any live booking flow opens.

Self-serve bookings and payments are planned for phase 2. Until then, approved carers become visible only through admin-created matches and concierge booking records.

DBS Verification

Manual evidence review first.

Caregivers can share their DBS and training status during onboarding. UbuntuCare admins review evidence manually before marking a caregiver as approved.

  • Enhanced DBS status is captured during caregiver onboarding.
  • References, identity, safeguarding, first aid, insurance, and Ofsted status are tracked as verification items.
  • Approved carers become bookable only after admin review.
Safeguarding Policy

Safety before marketplace scale.

The prototype is designed around review queues, admin notes, and approval controls so the team can operate with care before automation is added.

  • Families and caregivers are reviewed before matching.
  • Admin notes and status changes create an operational audit trail.
  • Concerns can be escalated directly to the UbuntuCare team.
Insurance

Insurance is part of readiness.

Insurance evidence is tracked as part of caregiver verification. The team can request follow-up before a caregiver is approved for live concierge bookings.

  • Caregiver applications capture insurance status.
  • Admins can mark insurance evidence as pending, verified, or needing review.
  • Phase 2 payment and booking workflows stay disabled until operations are stable.
Report A Concern

Talk to a human.

For safeguarding, verification, or conduct concerns, contact UbuntuCare directly. For urgent danger or immediate risk, call emergency services first.
